The story behind the Kirk & Bradley Travel Rounds!
You may be familiar with one of our favorite lines from designer Kirk & Bradley, the
travel rounds
!
Their design team formulated this idea back in 2015. Debuting with Rome, Paris, London and New York, the series has grown to over 60 destinations. With a set of icons and motifs specific to each location, these fun rounds are the perfect way to commemorate your favorite cities, hometowns or states, and special trips.
They continue to add more great places every single year! This spring, they are excited to bring you Colorado and Prague.
As our staff have traveled the world, we have brought these rounds with us to document our adventures. Some of our favorites include Amsterdam, Nashville, Paris, Sydney and Orlando.
We are excited to offer ALL of these travel rounds with a stitch guide. Each one has been thoughtfully stitched by a member of our staff to provide you with a wonderful stitching experience. Across the entire series, we have carried through specific stitches and threads to create a cohesive look. You will notice each ornament cap uses the same gold shade of Fyre Werks and the letters of each location are stitched in a Charcoal Fyre Werks. The backgrounds are all stitched in a Petite Silk Lamé Braid using Skip Tent Variation. Each round is offered with an optional add-on thread pack that matches the stitch guide.
You will notice that Kirk & Bradley has used this series as a jumping off point for some of their other designs as well. They have added a line of sporting destinations, including Augusta and Kentucky Derby, along with several others. Just last year, they began offering Ski Resorts as well. These include Aspen, Jackson Hole, Vail and Lake Placid. Along with releasing Colorado and Prague, they are adding Pebble Beach to their sporting rounds series this Spring.
If traveling and stitching are two of your favorite things, these projects are designed especially for you! We would love to see where your travels take you and what you are stitching along the way. Tag us in your travels on Instagram by using @needlepointdotcom.
