Welcome to Needlepoint.Com-Charleston! Our shop is located at 13 Broad Street in the heart of the Historic District and just steps away from the famous Rainbow Row. In February 2022, Needlpoint.Com acquired Cabbage Row Needlepoint Shoppe to better serve local customers and those who love to travel.
Cabbage Row Shoppe was a staple in the Historic District for over 40 years. It took its name from Revolutionary War Era buildings located at 89-91 Church Street where tenants sold cabbage right outside the row house.
Today, the original Cabbage Row building is called Catfish Row as a tribute to the name given by Charleston native DuBose Heyward in his 1925 novel "Porgy." The building, and area, gained national recognition when George Gershwin set Heyward's story to music in the opera "Porgy and Bess."
