How daunting is it when you see a circle on your canvas! Inherently, stitching anything circular can be tricky since we all stitch on a grid, but some stitches lend well to wheels/circles in general. Here are a few of our favorites:
#1 - Jessica Stitch - Oh, it’s a love-hate relationship with the Jessica Stitch. We do not recommend sipping wine while stitching this one! However, with careful counting and gentle patience, the Jessica Stitch creates an unbelievable look on the canvas – which is what keeps us coming back time and again!
#2 - Rhodes Circle - Every wheel has its center and if the center is large enough, a Rhodes Circle can be a great addition. The perfect “spoke” for your wheel, the Rhodes Circle will stand up just enough to accentuate the wheel design – especially if you have stitched the outside of the wheel in Tent Stitch.
#3 - Satin Stitch - We think the Satin Stitch is one of the most flexible stitches available in our library! If your wheel has an irregular shape, simply cover the design from edge to edge in the corresponding color and you’ll love how the stitch completely covers the area in an effortless manner.
