Our new store location in Charleston offers a fun way to support the threads of the community...
There has been a great resurgence in the popularity of needlepoint. The Charleston location has an endearing tradition of allowing customers to design and stitch heart-shaped canvases that are donated to hospice patients and their families.
What began as a way of offering a blank canvas to practice stitches has grown into a wonderful way to support the community by giving back in a loving and beautiful way. The store provides blank canvas cut into the shape of a heart, then stitchers have complete creative license using their preferred stitches, colors and a variety of threads. Once the hearts are stitched, the canvases go back to Needlepoint.Com to be finished as ornaments that are presented to patients at Roper Hospice Cottage in Mt Pleasant.
The low country Needlepoint.Com Charleston shop, formerly known as Cabbage Row, has had a presence in the historic district of Charleston for more than 30 years. The Heart’s for Hospice program is just one example of how needlepoint brings meaning to our lives and why it has been a popular pastime for hundreds of years.
Visit Needlepoint.com Charleston which features everything a needlepoint enthusiast needs to stitch beautiful canvases. Our shops in Charleston, Raleigh and online can provide personal services for all your stitching projects, as well accessories, and finishing services.
The Charleston store is open from 10-4:30 Tuesday through Saturday and the website is always open.
